The last Harry Potter movie is being released, so I wanted to make a special toast for this awesome occation and any Harry Potter fan knows the best way of toasting is with butterbeer!
There’s, of course, that sweet and sour feeling of it all ending, but I’m very curious about how this last movie will turn out to be, as I am of butterbeer’s taste.
I had never prepared it before, but while reading the books I always imagined it as being a warm and very sweet drink, which makes you feel all fuzzy. While browsing for recipes, I came across this one from the HoggyGuild, which came really close to what I had expected, I just made some changes here and there, as follows:
What you’ll need (enough to fill up one big mug):
2 1/2 cups soy milk (or regular milk)
2 tablespoons of brown sugar (I used cane sugar)
1 teaspoon of vanilla (I used 1 tablespoon of vanilla sugar)
1 level teaspoon of butter (I used 1 tablespoon soy butter)
Heat up the milk, not until it boils, but when you see a tiny bit of steam coming out.
Add the sugar, vanilla sugar and butter and mix well so it won’t stick to the bottom.
If possible, use a hand mixer and blend it for 30 seconds to make it more frothy.
Serve to mugs while it’s still warm.
To my fellow Harry Potter fans, I really hope you enjoy this last movie! Cheers!!! xoxo.
